Rosebuds herbal tea is made from whole or half-dried Rosa buds — typically Rosa damascena (Damask rose) or Rosa centifolia — harvested at the tight bud stage before opening to preserve the concentrated aromatic oils in the petals. Dried rose is used as a standalone herbal infusion and as a blending ingredient in flavored teas, tisanes, and traditional medicine systems across the Middle East, Central Asia, and China. The characteristic perfumed-floral, slightly sweet, and subtly tart character comes from the essential oils geraniol, citronellol, and nerol in the petals.
This is a gentle, caffeine-free herbal that is as beautiful to look at as it is to drink — dried rosebuds retain their form in the cup, unfurling slightly in hot water.
In the cup, rosebuds brew a pale pink to clear golden color. The aroma is delicate and floral — genuine rose, not synthetic. The body is light, the finish clean and subtly sweet.
Use 2–3 buds per 8-ounce cup.
